After clicking the “Inspection Results” button below, you will be redirected to McCright & Associates, our inspection contractors. Their HQS Inspection Results System allows you to view results for Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections.
Access Payment Information:
After clicking the “Landlord Payment Information” button below, you will be redirected to our Horizon Document Viewer. This portal is linked to our systems, and you will be able to log in and view copies of checks that have been posted, as well as your direct deposit information.
HCV Program Basics / Participation:
Housing choice vouchers are administered locally by public housing agencies (PHAs) that receive federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to administer the HCV program. This means that the tenant, landlord and PHA all have obligations and responsibilities under the HCV program.
To make an apartment/house available to voucher holders, the apartment/house should be listed with PA Housing Search, http://www.pahousingsearch.com/ or Affordable Housing www.AffordableHousing.com.
The BCHA will not maintain a separate listing of apartments/houses. You may also publish an ad in the local newspaper noting “Will accept Section 8”.
Landlords are strongly encouraged to conduct reference checks on all applicants. This is not done by the Berks County Housing Authority.
