Maintenance questions

Tenants of Public Housing, Tarsus Manor, and Norman Commons with any maintenance issue should call our 24-hour service at (484) 388-5163. Housing Choice Voucher participants should call their landlord.

If you have a maintenance issue, but you are NOT receiving housing assistance through our agency, we recommend that you call the codes enforcement department of the city, township or borough where you live. The Berks County Housing Authority cannot provide any assistance in this situation.

Office Closures

Our office is closed on the following holidays:

New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, The day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

If any of these holidays fall on a Saturday, the office will be closed the Friday before; if any fall on a Sunday, the office will be closed the following Monday.
