INVITATION FOR PUBLIC COMMENT AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Berks County Housing Authority (BCHA) is providing notice of an opportunity for public review and comment on proposed updates to the following documents:
- Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) governing BCHA’s Public Housing Program;
- Administrative Plan (Admin Plan) governing BCHA’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program; and
- Public Housing Dwelling Lease governing occupancy within BCHA’s Public Housing Program.
The proposed documents are available for public review at the Berks County Housing Authority administrative office, located at 1803 Butter Lane, Reading, PA 19606. Interested persons may schedule an appointment to review the documents by calling 610-370-0822.
The proposed documents may also be reviewed online at www.berksha.org.
Public Comment Period
BCHA will accept written public comments through 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Members of the public, residents, program participants, and other interested parties are encouraged to review the proposed documents and provide comments.
The Berks County Housing Authority will consider all comments received during the public comment period prior to taking final action on the proposed ACOP, Administrative Plan, and Public Housing Dwelling Lease.
The proposed policies and lease have been prepared and updated in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
